Introducing . . . BRAINteRNs, an internship designed specifically for nursing students who are interested in exploring the world of neurosurgical care.
ABOUT
On behalf of the Lenox Hill Neurosurgery Department, we are excited to announce the return of our BRAINteRNs program for the Winter of 2027. This internship, designed for nursing students interested in exploring the world of neurosurgical care, presents a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse career paths for nursing professionals.
Learn from Lenox Hill Neurosurgery's world-renowned nursing team during this two-week internship by shadowing inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and OR nurses along with other members of the neurosurgical team. Our BRAINteRNs will also participate in talkbacks with department leadership, hands-on demonstrations with medical device representatives, and experience working in a healthcare setting.

Medical Clearance
Students selected for the BRAINteRNs Winter 2027 Program will require medical clearance from Lenox Hill Hospital's Employee Health Services. The Medical Clearance Form must be completed by a physician and include an updated tuberculosis test and proof of the following vaccinations:
